just to make sure you know, a ford front axle has reverse cut gears compared to a dodge or chevy with dont. so you cant just switch the tubes
The type gear (high pinion or low pinion) of is irrelevant as stated.
Pulling the tubes out of the housing and having them switched is perfectly fine. And also as stated, you may have to do some knuckle work, at the least resetting the Caster, but that might be able to be done on the housing end. I have no idea if the knuckles will switch from either side or not. I'd at least plan on swapping them just to be safe, or hell, even just try it one day lol
It'll go back together as any axle would normally, just different side.
