got my mall crawl on...went up to caribou and the gate was closed with lots of hard packed snow leading up to it. so I found another series of trails nearby to play on. a mud pit, snow, downed trees and a few rocks made it fun.
yeah at least it wasnt a complete waste of a trip. it eventually led me out near old post office road, somewhere near bolder. Some roads branched out to private property and the rest was Roosevelt Ntl park.
I fabbed up one bracket for the home brew extended radius arms. But, I decided to use slightly thicker steel, so it was a good practice run. Since im not using it I beat the snot out of it with the mini sledge and it took the all the abuse so a little beefier version should be perfect. I will start the set that will actually go on the truck tomorrow.
busy couple of days in the garage. yanked the gas tank skid to do some grinding as I am still having rubbing issues with my rear driveshaft with rear end flex. There was still alot of mud up under there from the CORE incident.
While that was out it was convenient "sorta" to mount up the driverside slider so I made up some mounts and drilled some holes. Finished all the fab work hit em with primer, flat black rustoleum and got em on the truck. These are the first bends made with my pro tools 105, up next a pair of bumpers.
this is how they used to look.
and how it sits tonight
I also got a good jump on my set of extended rad arms.
