So its been a while since I have be on here, I have been real busy with work, but now I have found some time to get some work done on the rig. So Im started with a 94 ranger that I started with 31s then got a 6in bds lift went to 33s then 35s then dana 44 SAS and 37s then 38s and now I plan on kingpin dana 60 14 bolt rear 3 link with panhard and 4 link rear pushing 42 tsl swampers and a whole lot of fender trimming with a frame ride highth of about 27 in. That was the good and now for the bad out with the 4l v6 and in with 5.7l sb chevy 350. as much as I hate the chevy name my brother talked me into going with a chevy motor and running a sm465 and 203/205 doubler. After long arguments about the 302 I wanted to run and may different options like a 4bt diesel, powerstroke, cummins pretty much every motor tranny combo we could think of, we went with the 350 sm465 and 203.205 doubler. anyway back to the good I have my axles geared 5.38s all put back together mocked up under the frame at ride height and starting to build link set up and box in the frame. Ill get some pics up and show some progress.

Just curious on why a 350/465....? I can see why the 465 is appealing, but not really much better than an np435?

Sounds like it should be an interesting build, be sure to post.

No there about the same overall. I would like the Np435 slightly lower granny gear however I can not seem to find as many like the sm465 which are all over

subscribed...I was wondering when we would see this rig again.

yea been gone for awhile. I havent been on here for a good 6 months or more. nor have i been working on my rig since then. but im back in the garage just in time for the cold weather

yea that will be a sick build we have almost always been building the same rig

i figured i would catch some crap for the chevy 350 but unless i find a 4bt diesel in the next few months its gona be the 350. ive been looking for a 4bt for about 4 months now and cant find one unless I get it new for about 5000.

I bought one for $2500, with compressor and inline pump..... Never got around to swapping it in, and the D44 up front would never have held up. I sold it for the same over a year later. I don't mind the chev swap.....I prefer them....

whats up crawlin91 looks like youve got some good things going for your rig. You'll have to bring it by sometime and have a beer.

hellyeah doubler, tons(kp60,14blt), exo, 42s I just wont have the horsepower your rig will but...in due time. Seriously your ranger will be one badass rig here in the near future...screw the chebby haters.
I have a daily driver and some "real tools" at my disposal now too, so things are in the works. I would love to check out your build in person, or offer a hand if/when you needed it.
hit me up anytime.

Got the motor off of the frame. need to mock up a engine crossmember to raise it up so my diff doesnt hit and box in the frame. pics to come.
crawlin91 do you have a plasma cutter?
