I'd go to one or more junk yards and look at the heads. It should be easy to find a set that are in good condition.
I'd put new valve seals on the valves, clean em up, and install em.
Should be the easiest and cheapest way to go.
That ride is 9 or even 10 years old. A good set of heads will most likely outlast the rest of the ride.

hit up dave@threat on here. He knows a place the sells new heads for a very good price. I cant think of the name of the place, drawing a blank right now.

think they ran around 250 ea for brand new heads.

They shop cant weld them up??? we weld heads up and install Hardened seats all the time, its alot cheaper than new heads and have a better outcome. The valve job on hardened seats will last longer than anything else.

Not to steal this thread but how much did it cost to have the machine shop tell you they were cracked.

around here its about 20-40 bucks to check a pair of heads for cracks.

usually, but at our shop we dont check warpage often, it is faster and easier to just surface them and most people do since its only $30 a head.

just got a mint set of heads from a spare motor my friends had up at a ford dealer the tech said they dont need milled or anything so what should i clean the surface and the block surface with chemicals sand paper or no, also what kind of gaskets should i get saw some felpro and then there permatourq gaskets any advice thanks
