Coronavirus

I haven't heard of an official enforced curfew or anything. My job is still open. (Industrial work)

They started a mandatory curfew in Hoboken NJ yesterday. But I'm not 100% convinced thats a real place anyway...

Well that's weird for sure. I mean I wouldn't want anyone dying when it could have been avoided but I also am not a fan mandatory gov anything. Would rather just let the people regulate themselves if they can do it successfully

Most businesses kind are.

This is true. But just think of how many jobs are lost right now because of the virus...crazy to think that's even possible..

Also do we have any members in large cities? Are they alright? I have tried to reach a few guys but I haven't heard back yet. I know it is kinda late here for most people.

But they can't. Just look at all the panic buying of food and masks and ammunition, etc. Our society has gotten stupid and gullible. Dumb sheep following the exaggerations and sensationalism spread by the news media and social media.

Yea.... people as a collective species are pretty damn stupid. I whole heartedly believe that many animals are much smarter than the average person, especially in terms of survival. Your typical person, without government, would just go sit in the corner and die.

It's weird. We live in the information age. Mankind has discovered/learned so much information about everything that we should be better than this. But we seem to have lost the connection between having knowledge and applying that knowledge in a practical way. What used to be known as common sense has largely disappeared.

There are people out there who know that A squared + B squared = C squared and that their yard is 80 feet wide by 100ft long. Yet they can't figure out how long a rope is needed to reach diagonally from corner to corner.

The answer is 42.

I have trouble blaming the media for the panic. At the end of the day it's just us being fools. They just hold up the mirror and show us the reality we've created.

Talked to my mother in Ohio. She's 78, has a lot of health issues, and shouldn't be going out or driving. She gets meals on wheels 5 days a week, and apparently only has 3 rolls of toilet paper.

This is ridiculous.

Well hoarders fulfill their own fears
"Look at the shelves"..............."I told you so"

And then more "reasonable" people see the empty shelves..................and become less reasonable, and they join in

Like most "riots" it starts with just a few, then that sways enough of the others to make it a "mob"
We are programmed to do this, its hard to "shake off"

We are not apex predators, evolution wise that is, lol, we are social, or if you want "herd", animals, so we have an instinct to "go along"
You may say you don't, and in that case you should not have children, you have defective DNA :)
I am not talking about doing what everyone else does, the instinct is more basic and requires certain triggers, like the "news" and the empty shelves

And 42 is the answer to everything in the universe, although it doesn't work on math tests for some reason..............faulty tests I think
