Don't bother with "cop lights" of any style. If you're a FF, LEO, EMT or otherwise, then you'll have a need (and a permit) for any lighting or emergency equipment.

Impersonating a police officer, either on public roads or on private property will end you in jail and your truck in impound with some heavy fines. It sounds like you want to show off some shiny lights...go get some led's or neon and go from there.

Not trying to be rude, but seen way too many people want to have cop lights, and have even had the odd one ask me to install them. I will not do this, and don't recommend it (obviously). Not trying to be an ass...

Nah, I get what your saying.

It does seem like a bad idea, but it would be kinda cool.

A friend of mine wanted to install them for volunteer firefighter purposes... He checked with the authorities. Yeah, but NO.
He was told they were illegal, in no uncertain terms.

Around here the Volunteer fire fighters are allowed to use green flashing lights on their dash and in the back window. no mods to the factory lights.

Clear strobes in headlights are still legal. as long as they arent colored you are okay with those.

Really dependent on the region, as far as I'm aware if you want to install headlight modulators where I live they have to flash together. Alternating flashers are reserved to emergency vehicles.
