About 7 - 8 months ago my brother ran his truck into a sand barrel barricade on his way home from work. The truck has been sitting since. I started to tear into it yesterday just to see the extent of the damage. All i found that was alarming was the steering tab had been broken off the knuckle/spindle and the box engine bay frame (whats the correct term for this?) is pushed in. I have some pics but cant find the attachment button thats suppose to be at the bottom of the page? :temper: . How would one repair this? pull it out or bang it out with a sledge? I did not see any cracks in the welds of the a arms or brackets. They do not looked to be touched.

Any one wanting to sell a left Steering knuckle /spindle for a 99 4x4 for sale ? lol

Thanks for your help!

Mine allows me... maybe you have to have a certain number of posts, probably there to keep spammers out.

If you hope to put fenders on it that line up with the rest of the body, I would think about replacing the whole radiator core support. Other than that it doesn't look too bad.

The front frame crossbar will have to be trimmed off and have the frame horn straightened. Then a new crossbar welded on. I recently just did this to mine(hit a pole with a concrete base, darn ice). I have to be honest, it was not that easy to straighten the frame. I had to stick a 5' 2x2 piece of box steel into the end of the frame and hit it with a forklift at work to get the frame horn straightened out.

Looks like it needs:
-Radiator support
-Fiberglass piece that supports the headlights
-New LF fender
-Suspension parts you listed
-Front crossbar and frame straightened. The crossbar cost me $30 at a junkyard.
-New lights
-Bumper & bumper mounts
-Grill
-Front valence
-Many, many hours of labor.

When I did mine I only had to replace the front crossbar, the bumper & mounts, the grill and valence. Still cost me close to $400 in parts. With a truck in the condition of yours, it might be better to look for a similar truck with a blown engine and just do an engine swap.

Hey thank you both for the help. I may just try to cut the bent pieces out and replace them with a pieces from a junkyard truck. hmmm i may first try to just heat it up and pull er out and see where that gets me lol

get a new truck your going to have a ton of money into if b4 its fixed
