Hi folks,
I'm the proud owner of a 2003 Ranger 4X4. It's been great, no problems (except for the clutch), until today, when my wife was hit in the front end BY A COP. They hit the front wheel, pushing it in on the top, so it's rubbing against the upper control arm. That's all I can tell without getting a look underneath when I pull it into the garage. Our insurance is already cranked, and I basically have to eat the repairs (the cops aren't going to charge themselves).
MY question is, what is the weak point in the front suspension? Am I looking at just a bent upper arm, a broken ball joint, or would the whole steering knuckle bend? The tie rod end is intact, by the looks of things. The whole top of the wheel is really pushed in!
Any ideas on what to look for? Any help would be appreciated.
Bill
