I am in need of some schooling on where to get spring seats and isolators for a 1987 ranger 4X4 2.9l. I think they are obsolete so i suppose most have abandon the OEM style of seat and isolator. I am going to level it out with the washer solution but one of the seats (OEM) is split. The OEM seats are needed in order to stack the washers underneath from what i see in the tech library. The junk yards around here dont go back that far in their inventory, guess scrap metal price is good these days. Any held is welcomed and appreciated . Thanks Dirty

I have found the Seats on Ebay,

Thanks for posting the find. Will help someone else in the future.

Still looking for the isolators or a pic and dimensions

Seem Ebay was a quantity of one. Still looking for the second seat FOTZ-5A307-A .

I have a 1987, where is James duff site.

I still have the OEM springs, they are fine. The seat on one side is split so if i replace one i might as well do the other. Trying to find OEM seats and isolators, but i aint doing to well with the isolator. The seats are FOTZ-5A307-A, cant find a -B. parts house says A is for either side. Im confused. Dirty

Looked at Dufftuff, nice stuff but didnt see anything i need.

this is what my spring looks like. The PO used a tire as the isolator. Hope when i get to the seat its in one piece.

Id be interested to see how that tire isolator held up. Tires are built pretty tough.

Found a second FOTZ-5A307-A seat on Ebay, slim pickings on these 30 year old rangers.

Are you sure those springs aren't 37 years old?
