Yeah they should work but but I'm not entirely sure (for just 2.5" lift). 2.5" of lift is sorta no-mans land between a leveling kit (2") and a full lift (usually a min of 3.5" is the smallest "kit" you can buy). At 2.5" of lift you MOST likely will need drop brackets for the axle beams to be able to align things back to spec (so your are not grossly out of spec concerning positive camber) so yes drop brackets for the radius arms "should" be used. I'm not sure if you can get away without using them, but I suppose its possible. Can anyone else verify this?

You most likely will, but which ones you need won't be determined until you take it into the alignment shop, and they will have them on hand (most of the time).

If you really wanted you can get fully adjustable ones, but most shops I've encountered won't use them so you would have to do the alignment yourself.

depending on actual setup you can go a bit over 3 inches and still align most ttb rbv's....2 inches is definitely not the limit.

i am glad i dont need a shop to align them though, that can be pricey, and for good reason too.

i can see why i have been getting 150 coil questions again.

4.0/v8 swap ext cabs with winches/bumpers and swapped in 150 coils are a pretty good setup ime.

lighter trucks need really well worn coils, possibly trimmed down a bit to keep at or under 3 inches.

fresh 150 coils will be stiff in a b2 or reg cab ranger. regardless it can actually potentially improve road handling for some in any case....

for cost effective lift, 150 arms with relocated factory r/a bracket...or modded 150 r/a brackets combined with the 150 coils and 3 deg adj bushings with a d35 ttb is pretty cheap to do. and very effective. add 150 2wd rear springs with some minor drilling and possibly some shims you can save yourself some serious cash for tires.:dunno:

Here's my thread on my F150 spring install, Hope it helps.

http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78490

in this case i would cut the coils a bit. most light trucks need the coils trimmed. once the 289 is home go to the junkyard and get another 20 dollar set of springs.

also, the d28 setup is different then the d35 with the 150 coils....there are also different 150 coils.

nice well worn coils from 80's 2wd's ride nicer and give less lift.

theres no 1 size fits all here....experiences will vary.

on edit here......not a good idea to use a drop pitman when staying at 3 inches of lift, especially with relocated r/a x member and 150 or e150 arms.

i didnt use the f 150 springs just a spacer under the stock springs

i used various setups depending on what i needed the truck for.

back with ttb, generally as the truck was laden, i used an 8/pack leaf rear and e250 spring with 2 inch poly spacer and stud extenders...or regular 150 cast spacers...those are 1-1.75 inch in variance ime. some have built in forward shock mounts etc.

one lesson learned was progressive 150 coils sucked for my work load beating...this is with cast 150 spacers and 6 month old springs....neww moogs:shok:.....

this is the e250 verse the 150 progressives..

this is the e250 with no spacer....bit over 4 inches of lift....truck handled awesome with full load.

light load at this period in time...

with stud extenders you can run 3 plus inches of spacer....the extenders are 26 bux, but theres other ways to do that for less.

its all in what you want.
