Does anyone know what clutch and flywheel I should use for the M5ODR2 V6 F150 transmission?
thanks

What are the options for a M5od-r2 V6 F150 of similar year as your trans??

What I'd do, is pull up part numbers for the trans donor and pull up part numbers for a newer 4.0 ranger, and compare. Could very well be possible they are the exact same parts.

I am putting it behind a 5.0L, so I was wondering if I should use the flywheel and clutch from the 4.2L V6 or the flywheel for a V8 and clutch from the 4.2 or maybe even the flywheel and clutch from the V8?

Makes ALOT more sense now. Shoulda said something like that in your first post. We can't read you mind! lol.

The 5.0 engine MUST have a flywheel for a 5.0 engine.

the 5.0 has a 50oz/in "imbalance" to offset an intentional internal imbalance inside the engine.

The 5.8 flywheels are drilled differently and unless I'm mistaken have
a 28oz/in imbalance.

the 4.9 flyhweels have NO imbalance.

Using the wrong flywheel on your engine will literally shake
the engine out of the chassis.

Now that bieng covered the F-series flywheels for the 4.9 & 5.0
are usually "dual drilled" for atleast two different pressure place
bolt patterns, the 10.4 clutch (common to mustangs etc) and the
11" clutch common to all F-series engines except perhaps the 4.2.

Frankly in anything I'd drive there is no substitute for more clutch
so I think it would be idiotic since you must run the large diameter
flywheel from an F-series on your 5.0 (otherwise there is no exsisting
starter that will bolt to your M5OD-R1 and mesh with the small
diameter mustang flywheel) you mught as well use the largest clutch that'll fit.

And that would be the 11" clutch.
