so i take my bumper off today to replace my core support an was looking at my winch.. its the smittybilt xrc8 winch... the clutch engagement lever looked a little odd.. i could pull it right out of the hole on the winch.. this seemed strange.. after further investigating the problem i noticed theirs a tiny spring on the bottom that seems like it keeps tension on the lever to keep it in place.. well i put it back in like it was an tried it in the freel spool spot.. usually you can sorta feel the tension on the lever for free or engaged well i feel no tension what so ever.. with the winch in in free or engaged its still engaged.. any one ever have a problem like this with the lever? it just seems strange.. i used the winch last week an re spooled the cable up an it worked fine.. i used the free spool an unwound it an engaged it an wound it back up..
