Hey i have a 1993 ford ranger that has about 3 inches of play before the clutch accutally gets into the friction point or disingages. What should i do

Your clutch is hydraulic, not a lot you can do.

Probably has air somewhere in the line, most likely the Master Cylinder.

either the master or slave are on their way out, or you have air in the system like loco said. Try bleeding it and see if things get better.
