Chrome window trim & weather stripping

It looks like my missing chrome driver side rear trim is a unicorn. All the parts places say it’s discontinued or out of stock. Has anyone tried stripping and chrome plating a black one? Also, does anyone know which weather stripping type goes under it?

Not yet. Local junkyards are 25/30 miles away. Drawback of living in a resort town.

Also, what is the deal with the spare tire winch being $150+ dollars when the F-150 is around 60?

Local yards are probably your best bet, can also try car-part.com but I don't know if they'll list the window trim.
And no idea, again I would grab one from a yard, or just mount it in the bed or on the tailgate
