I think im still kinda leanin towards the chrome a bit
 
I would powder coat black. That would just be too much chrome
 
you can get a chrome powder coat. looks silvery in low light but shines like chrome in sunlight. if powder coat doesnt hold up well, why are a lot of suspension parts powder coated from the manufacturer?

You tell me, it is peeling off my torsion bars with the outer layer of steel on my F-150.

Powdercoat will never touch chrome for toughness.

If you have to redo it on a regular basis, paint is much easier to strip where there rust hasn't started and it doesn't rust as bad.
