I got a pair of 63 inch springs for free, no overload leaf. I want a total of 5-6 inches of lift. Can I get this without running blocks on those springs and if so, what length shackle should i run? I am also planning on bobbing the bed and moving the rear axle forward about 6 inches which will mean the front spring mount sits a bit lower because the frame is lower at that point. Thanks

you should get 4 inches from the leafs IIRC then get the beltech 6400 shackles that will give you 6 inches

Depends on how soft the packs are, how far forward you move your front hangers, and the length of the shackles.

You can set your shackle angle for different amounts of travel, up or down. This will be determined by how far forward you move your front hangers. You could also build some boomerang shackles to correct your angle for different wheeling.

+1
you could also look into a drop hanger in the rear to kinda ballance the front frame drop and get your pinion angle back into check

They're fine.

Better then replacing U joints ever few thousand miles

Alright, here's my setup...go from there.

5.5" Chevy leafs, stock 2.5" block and shackles.

From the top of the axle tube to the bottom lip of the frame just behind the stock upper bumpstop on my truck (with rear winch/bumper/winterweight) is 16".
