im not looking for monster power
im not looking for monster power i just have a 305 with a trans sitting in my garage not doing anything. how hard would the wiring be and what about ujoints? id like to use the ranger axles anyway. Ill also need to get custom driveshafts right?
do not put a 305 into anything. the heads don't flow for crap. and they don't have much displacement. the 305 is identical to the 350 from the outside. so you might as well do a 350
305 heads on a stock 350 are a performance mod (seriously).......![]()
I'm not delusional....... i drag-raced sbc's
the 305 is far from the dog everybody makes it out to be
Increased compression is the goal of the 305 heads, but you take a loss on top end due to the smaller intake runners
i just found a chevy single cab longbox 4x4 350 w/5 spd for $300 if i used the chevy all the way back to the yolks, would the 8.8 and dana 35 hold the power or will i have to change axles too?
the reason i want to keep the factory axles is im trying to keep the truck the same width it is now because i can fit in alot of places a full size wont. Also I keep hearing strait axle conversion from everyone buti like my independant front. What would i gain by doing a front axle besides the obvious cv shaft problem. Thanks.
