Need a cheap on-board air system, mostly for inflating tires. Don't want to use the a/c compressor. Any suggestions?

I bought one of those high volume portable compressors at Harbor Freight if I want to air down it works great to air back up.Mine was about $75 my friend bought one at summit for about $100 works great too.I could'nt think why I needed a system just air in the tires.
