Full synthetic all weights for $17.47/5 liters. Worth a look to see if your local Walmart has the same deal.

I have found it to be very reliable, good brand name oil filters are worth the extra cost.

I was a died in the wool Mobile1 full synthetic user but this oil option from The Walmart is great when Mobile1 isn't on sale or has no rebate.

I saw that in Walmart yesterday. It was the only in stock, and they were down to around 3 jugs of it. Last week I purchased 10 quarts (2 5-quart jugs) of Costco's Kirkland synthetic for $32.25. They only have 0w20 and 5w30 in the stores, so I picked up 5w30, which is fine for the Duratec. Especially with the summer heat here. They have a 4-jug box of it online for 65.99, shipping included. I'm really thinking about stockpiling some motor oil because I think prices are going to increase more.

BTW, Supertech and Kirkland oil is made by the same company, Warren Distribution. It's probably the same product.

I’ve been getting oil from Rural King but that might be worth checking

I usually buy oil in 5 gallon buckets at Tractor Supply... if you can catch a sale it's about $35-40. But it's just normal 10w30 dino oil. I have used that Supertech oil extensively in other vehicles, I think I paid $16 for a 5 quart jug a couple weeks ago.

I should stock up on a few jugs.

I wouldn't be surprised if synthetic oil starts giving conventional motor oil some competition with the prices that a barrel of oil is starting to cost. This talking about straight up synthetic oil and not super refined oil from petroleum stock. A lot of the "cheap" synthetic oil on store shelves is super refined dino oil.

Been using SuperTech=WalMart=Warren 0w20.FullSyn & 0w30.FullSyn many years now.
Usually buy Supertech or Mobile1, whichever is less; typical price has been $18/5qtJug around here,
though haven't priced\bought oil in the last 3mths, so wouldn't be suprised to see a spike.
Do NOT advise using WalMart\Supertech brand of several other items, such as OilFilters,
but this Warren made oil appears on par wth other much higher priced oils.
Could use high performance+priced AmsOil motor oil, but oil is changed every 6mths,
so SuperTech\Mobile1 is a good balance of price+performance for my purposes.

One of the reasons I buy whatever oil change package is on sale with a decent filter. Amsoil is great stuff but spendy and I just don’t feel comfortable with once a year/10,000 mile oil changes.

My F-150 gets full synthetic and Motorcraft FL-1A every 10k, has for years. Of course, it’s also a 300 straight 6 so it really doesn’t care beyond there is some oil somewhere near the motor, lol

I usually run pennzoil. (except for the tractors, they get shell rotella)Filters vary, motorcraft for the truck & ford tractor , napa for the allis, mobil 1 for the hhr & escape, Lawn deere gets a “maintenance kit” with oil, filter & air filter yearly, wheel horse gets rotella, no oil filter on it.

About a month ago I came across two Purolator oil filters (L20195) in the clearance section at Tractor Supply Co. for half price ($2.50) There wasn't anything with them other than the box the filters came got a little oil on them. When making my last Amazon order I came across Purolator Tech filters (TL20195) for $2.31. I was curious about the difference between the Purolator filters I see in the stores that have the red can and the tech filter, so I ordered one. From an exterior visual inspection the only difference I can see between them is the ones in the store are painted red. It appears the tech line may be sold in bulk to auto shops and people are selling them individually on Amazon. Anyway, they are a cross for the Motorcraft FL400S, but slightly longer than the FL400S, which is the replacement for the larger FL1A that doesn't have an anti-drainback valve. It will also work in place of the short FL910S that some of you are using on the 2.3L Duratec.

Also, Autozone has Castrol Edge Synthetic 10w30 quarts on clearance for $2.00, which is good for the older engines and OK for summer use on the newer engines in parts of the country where summers are roasting hot.

And I'm thinking we should have a forum for deals, bargains, and rebates we can post so others on the forums can save a few $$.
