I have a 98 Ranger 2.5 liter 2wd. I just changed the clutch and slave cylinder. Put everything back together and it won't fire at all.

Did you hook your neutral switch or clutch/starter interlock back up or pinch the wires in the bell housing?

Do you mean wont fire like no just wont crank?
When you try to crank it does the check engine/oil light come on?
If it does it's probably the neutral safety switch.
You confirm this you can jump out the switch.

Double check the wiring to the starter as well as ground straps coming off the engine.

I did the same thing. Tighten up all your cables that lead to the transmission and starter. Double check the battery too
