change fuel injected to carbed

well its pretty damn easy, gunna need new intake, carb, might need new throttle linkage, fuel system should still work. im sure im still missing a ton,

You will need to drop your fuel pressure way down. It is probably around 40lbs with the fuel injection system. It should be around 7lbs for a carb if I am not mistaken.

You could get a pressure regulator with a return line. That way you won't have to run a new fuel line or change pumps.

Whats the problem with your EFI? the eec-iv is one of the most simple to diagnose, has tons of aftermarket support, and you can read codes with a paperclip, no to mention huge driveability improvements everywhere?:headbang:

:DOnly good use (other than what their name implies they're for) I've found is to clean excess wax from my ears.:icon_twisted:

Because carbs are even more simple then EEC, and a good one will be just as driveable.

To answer the question, id go and get a good 302 intake and mount a 4bbl edelbrock up on it, and get a fuel pressure regulator to regulate fuel pressure, and go play.

Dustin

well for the efi theres a bunch of wires and for carb theres like three would i be able to wire it into my 4.0 wiring

Most of the carb'ed fords from the late 70s and 80s I've looked at have all the wires any EEC-IV ford has plus twice as many vaccuum lines. More simple.... I think not!

But to each his own. I like the "bark" you get from a carb'ed engine when you step on the gas.

The carb uses no wires at all, unless it has an electric choke.

It depends on what ignition system you want to use.

D.U.I. makes a chevy HEI to drop into a ford small block. It only needs an ignition power wire. Any aftermarket ignition system comes with instructions.

Yes the 4.0 harness has all the connections you need plus many more.
