Cars? What do you drive?

Were they breaking in half on car lifts at 5 years of age with low miles?

Beating a dead horse, here are the numbers for the Altima Coupe vs the G35. In actuality, the G35 is a 350Z. Thanks to @fastpakr for straightening me out on the platforms. I know this is an apple to orange comparison, but they really are close with the Z coming out the winner.

Hmmmm.

I think my other RBV,s are on to something....

I am starting to think my new ranger merely identifies as a fawking ford ranger.

This is embarrassing.

Hmm... I read lots of complaints about 'foreign' brands, then a few about Ford for good measure. Followed by insults of anyone that would drive a luxury brand. Seemed like more of a 'get off my lawn' than anything of value.
Well, I have opinions about things. Prove me wrong. Fight me!

Not sure how they don’t break in half. I’ve done far more frame repairs than I should to these Rangers

Uh, the Rangers are very prone to structural frame rot and nobody forced Ford to replace the frames like Toyota did…
The big difference is the Toyota frames had holes before the 6 year mark and I've never seen a rotted Ranger frame that wasn't more than a decade old. Yes, the rear spring hangers rust but replacing them is a very minor repair.

It really isn't.

Spring hanger area on my 2011. Never should have been this bad on a 10 year old truck.

Don't even get me started in the ****ing bed.

.....yes Eric, I know I need to respond to your DM 🙂

I've never seen anything like that and NH salts the roads so heavy that they are white between storms and if you get a little close to the edge it kicks up a white cloud of salt dust.

Ohio/Pennsylvania.

They started using a liquid de-icer on the road a few years ago. It's destroying everything it touches.

I was trying to find all the pics. That ranger was 7 years old and there is a 5 year old 150 the front rails where they curve into the bay for the front suspension was rotted in half.

That metal is Glorified cardboard ford garbage.

Shameful. The design is wonderful and strong.... In a dry climate....never fail.

Rust belt ... Yuck. They make Toyota look good.

This encapsulates my entire opinion of F*rd.

They design some amazing stuff.

They build some amazing stuff.

And they never fail to find at least one major way to completely **** it up.

I still say your argument is invalid. I’ve done far less frame repair to my 95 F-150 that saw plow duty a few years than the 99-2000 Rangers around here. My 92 Ranger got one small patch by the gas tank, so even less than the 150. My 88 and 89 Bronco II both have perfect frames. There is zero reason for having to a half frame swap and heavy patching to my 2000. Or patching dads Rangers and my buddy’s Rangers…

Seems after 97 all fords went to shit structurally. I see far more 97+ trucks with decent bodys but beds flopping, asses leaning, frames rotting then i ever seen of the older trucks.
