What would one expect to hear or feel or experience when that stupid carrier bearing starts going bad on the drive shaft.

Squealing when the bearing starts going, groaning, vibration.

Just get under there and put the truck in neutral, jack up the rear and turn the shaft and feel for grinding or if there is play.

sometimes it goes bad so slowly that you don't notice the difference until one day.......slap/bang/squeal.......:icon_bounceblue:

Usually the rubber rots out before the bearing explodes, but when it does, god damn does it suck driving in the snow in a 2wd at 5mph, cause anything higher will cause the earth to rip apart from the vibration.

So if there's rubber play, replace it, the bearings not far behind due to excess movement.
