This one is a firm maybe... we will see how finances go later this year.

I registered before New Year’s. Like last year, I bought two slots, and I’ll be bringing the Road Ranger with the step trailer. Right now Lincoln will be coming with me. I think you get two entry passes with every registration, so I may have one or two extras if somebody is visiting, but not showing.

I hope to have the Road ‘Raith Kasket Kitchen complete, and carry it up on the back of the Road Ranger. Watch for my new thread regarding the ‘Raith. If so, bring your dogs and burgers and pickles and buns, and I’ll provide the propane.

I’ll need some help on a few items, and all comments and assistance are always greatly appreciated. I’ll even smile when you tell me you think I’m crazy and incompetent, as long as you do it respectfully. If you’re nasty, I’ll burn your burgers, I would do it.

The vacation request was approved. I just need to register.

Are we planning to use the same camp ground as before? And if so, are we going to try for a different group of spots as talked about before?

with the campground accommodate the Road Ranger? I wouldn’t want to have to back out…..

The area we were in is a bit tight. There is a round-about kind of deal that might work out for parking. Maybe.

thanks, more curiosity than anything. I wouldn’t want to chance it. And I think I said before, my idea of camping is when I stay in the Holiday Inn instead of the Ritz.

You can look at the campground map online and pick a spot that's easier to drive through. I maneuvered my big truck around in there ok pulling the tow dolly, which is next to impossible to see behind me and not nearly as easy to control as a trailer with a longer wheelbase.

thanks, I appreciate it. But realize I have trouble driving on the street…

What does crackers have to do with where you sleep? Do you have a thing with crumbs in your bedding?

Hey, hey, hey!!!!

I never called you guys crackers…

… at least not to your face!

Ok, now that we have a budget and a bit of a better idea what is going on for the summer, I made arrangements to get the August Drill done ahead of time, freeing up the weekend for the event.

Which allows me to go ahead and get the event field ticket and make a reservation for the campground.

I got this email today:

Hello,

Hope all is well! I am just sending a reminder email that the club tent deadline is getting closer! If your club would like to have a tent at this year’s Truck Nationals, be sure to complete the form and return no later than June 17th. I have attached the form above. If you ever want a count on who is registered under your club, please just reach out and I will provide that information. Also, that June 17th is also the Gate-N-Go Deadline, where you can save 10% off Showfield Registration. This is how we generally calculate how much club space to allot, so it is a great idea to push this to your club members!

Another thing I wanted to mention is if you are looking for hotel rooms for your club (trying to get a hotel block), we have a contact from the Cumberland Valley Visitor’s Bureau that is happy to help. His name is Patrick Bourque and his email address patrick@visitcumberlandvalley.com and his phone number is 717-240-7191. You can contact him directly, as he is happy to help!

At any point that you need anything from me, don’t hesitate to reach out! I will continue to send out reminder emails as we get closer to the deadline
