Hello I am new here. Just purchased a 1984 Ranger 4X4 2.8L V6 5 speed. I have searched posts and here https://therangerstation.com/mobile/fluid_and_capacities.shtml for capacities but cant find a few.

Whats the rear end fluid full type and capacity?

The front says "Hypoid Gear Lubicant SAE 80W or 90W " Is it 80-140, 90-120 or what??

Coolant capacity says:
See Capacity Column
2001-1983
Premium Engine Coolant E2FZ-19549-AA (green)
2.5L manual transmission 10.5 quarts

2.5L automatic transmission 10.2 quarts
3.0L manual transmission 15.2 quarts
3.0L automatic transmission 14.8 quarts
4.0L manual transmission 13.5 quarts
4.0L automatic transmission 13.2 quarts

Wheres the 2.8L coolant capacity?

Whats the brake fluid capacity?

Is there an open filter air intake available for this motor?

Its in need of a full tune up, all fluids that can be seen are disgusting. Does anyone have any tips or anything you think I should know about this truck?

Thanks

The front diff capacity is not 80-14, nor is it 90-120. It can use either straight 80W or straight 90W, or if you really want to insist on a fancy multi-viscosity gear oil, you could use 80W-90. You will need to purchase three quarts. Put it in until it starts coming back out.

Coolant capacity for the 2.8L clearly is not on the chart you posted, so I can tell you where it isn't, but not where it is. It will hold about two gallons, give or take.

Brake fluid, buy a quart. That's more than you will need, but price-wise it will beat buying fluid in pints.

All 3 of those things get filled until it falls out...
