i have a 96 mazda b4000 le 4wd and i can't find 2in front coil spring spacers anywhere. anyone know a place, or site?

Most people on here make them from washers because the spacers made by Dayton, etc. are made from polyurethane. The poly spacers rot out over time.

Click on the link below for a thread of mine. The details are inside from several users.

Here's what they look like:

You won't be able to use a spacer much larger than 1" or 1.25" without extending the stud that holds the spring somehow. Even then, you're getting close to the maximum of what you will be able to properly align with stock drop brackets.

I am also looking to get about 2-2 1/2 inches on my 94' b4000. Is this a better way to go about it then tightening the torsion bar? Brandothehick how did yours turn out, how much lift did you get?

There isn't any torsion bars on these trucks...just the 98+.

i got about 3 feet of snow this week have not had a chance to do it sorry.

but i think i could get 2 in easy cuz they screw that holds the bottom plate of the coil spring has a good 4 in of extra room

ahh ok, thanks for the info! this may be a stupid question but..? what do you do for the rear lift? washers in front, is there an easy way to match the lift height?

You can use Belltech 6400 shackles or any similar shackles that are meant to lower a full size chevy. Ranger shackles are mounted the opposite way so it lifts them. Shackles will get you about 1.75"

Keep in mind that 1.5-2" is about the maximum you will be able to lift the front without drop brackets, and still be able to get the truck aligned properly. Also, since the coil is between the axle pivot and the wheel, this creates a multiplying effect, so a 1" spacer will get you about 1.5" of lift.

Sunk, so your saying that putting shackles that are ment to lower a full size chevy on a ranger or b4000 it will lift them? Because the stock shackles are mounted the opposite way..? just trying to picture it and understand it..

Yep, exactly. You should be able to find the shackles at most parts stores or online, for probably around $40-60, less used.

ok cool! Thanks a lot. I have a 94' b4000 are the Belltech 6400 shackles going to fit? It seems odd that a chevy part would fit a mazda(ford). Im supposed to be working right now, but I find this forum way more entertaining.

Yep they'll fit. Both trucks have 2.5" wide leafs.
