Can you run 255/70/16 tires on a stock 1999 4x4?

I've noticed that the newer trucks come stock with 255/70/16's;

I have a 1999 Ranger XLT 4x4 extra cab with the 4.0 and offroad/towing package.

Did Ford change anything about the wheel wells or fenders that would cause the 255/70/16's to rub on my 1999 that was originally equipped with 245/75/16's... like in lock to lock or full travel. Mounted to the Original 1999 Factory Aluminum Ranger Wheels that came with the truck?

Thank you in advance!!:icon_cheers:

there is nothing changed, so u can fit em with no problem at all

The Ranger is largely the same and the new tire size is within about 10mm each direction. I wouldn't think there would be a problem.

245/75-16's and 255/70-16's are almost the exact same height... The 255's are just 10mm wider...

Thank you all for your help!!
