Was driving down the road going 45Mph when I noticed problems when shifting into 3rd gear. When I look at the dash the oil pressure guage was reading 0 and the Check guage light was on. As I went a little down the road the engine stop and now will not start again. When I start it I hear 1 Click and that’s it. Tried a breaker bar and socket to try to spin the motor over and it wouldn’t budge. When reading the check engine light codes there was a P0340 code. Is my engine cooked?

I have no idea. It's not unheard of for the oil pressure sensors to fail, but this doesn't sound good. Sorry that it happened to you.

bad news, if it won't budge the crankshaft & bearings are probably seized.
as a last resort remove the plugs and belt. if it still won't move it's definitely gone.

UPDATE: Motor is blown up bearings and chucks of camshaft in pan. Change your camshaft synchronizer and don’t make the mistake I made cost me my truck at 120k miles.

I'm sorry to hear that about your truck. Was the synchronizer squeaking or did it give off any warning symptoms prior to it going out? The reason I ask, I just got a B3000 and I don't have any maintenance history of that being done. So despite it running fine and not making any squeaks I'm wondering if I should get it done soon or if I can put it off for awhile when money isn't so tight.

@MRanger
if you can do the work, checking the cam sync will only cost you some time.
if the gear is worn, that's when the money starts.
at the very least remove the 2 small screws on the cap and drop some oil on the top bushing. a few drops will do.

if only the cap is removed you don't have to do any of the timing procedures.

is your Ranger rust free? engines are easy to replace, rust not so much.
