Yay or Nay on the Camper Tops? I'm looking for one..my wife has never been camping (she's a little southern bell too..imagine that..) and I'm an avid deer hunter..so I'm thinking putting a camper top on the bed of my '98 would be quite nice. What are good (cheap) brand camper tops? I think I'm just gonna look in the junkyard and paint one to match the truck..not sure yet. Anyone in the North Georgia area have one I can buy off of em?

You mean a topper? There are lots of styles to pick from. Go to Toppertown's website and look and see what they have to offer or Craigslist in your area.

I have one for sale. Idk what part of north georgia you're in, probably too far from winston salem, nc.

Lol, yeah, might be a bit far. Well, I bought it for $100, spent about $40 to paint it black, and $15 for a new handle with keys. Id take $100 from a trs member. For that price you could probably find one in your area though. I can't remember the company, but they make them for ford, so it has a tag that says ford on it. Its a light weight fiberglass type. Which is nice because Its way lighter than most, but its really too thin to put anything on top like a canoe or anything. It also had the back window replaced with lexan, but you can't tell cause its tinted. Pretty nice looking though. I bought it exactly one week before I ended up buying a stepside bed for my truck, so I can't use this anymore. Lol

Oh, jeez..that's exactly what I'm looking for though - just something simple that I can paint - always thought it'd be cool to add a moon-roof or something to it too. Found one on CL for $50, I'll have to call them tomorrow.

That is cheap and so is that topper I bet. They rot real bad if left out in the sun as most are. Did you see a good photo of it? I see nice ones here going for 100-150 bucks in excelent shape.
