My credo
Do unto others then Split-probasti me et chognuisti me
I have placed washers (7) under the spring and replaced the shocks. Now that i have the desired height the cam bushings are in need of adjusting or replaced to gain the correct camber. I searched and read a lot in the tech section, lots of knowledge. I didn't see anything on which direction to turn the bushing in order for the top to move inward. If this is in the tech section please point me in the right direction. Thanks Dirty

You can turn it either direction. It will just keep rotating. During half the rotation, it will push the ball joint out and during the other half it will push it in.

It turns 180 degrees+-, then turns back? It has stopping post at two points.. Looks like its been there a while. PB blaster and give it a whirl. If I cant get any more adjustment ill pull the 7 washers and put the 5 stack in. Dirty

Ok. I never encountered one with a stop. You can buy replacement bushings and they have different ranges of adjustment. For example, you may have bushings with +/- 1.5degrees of adjustment. For all those washers you added, you will need one with a lot more adjustment range, like +/- 4 degrees. When you do that, it changes your caster also. But they make adjustable bushings that allow you to correct caster independent of camber. Like this one from RockAuto

First one I've seen with the odd shaped. The replacement is set at +-4 degrees, turn the middle and it set the caster and camber at the same time, in a perfect world. I would say one with +-4 degrees don't take much movement to get noticeable results. Guess mine pops out like this one pops in. soaking in PB now, wonder how hard it is POP out. Dirty

Well it don't turn easy, Is there a secret to move the star shaped bushing or is it a matter of BFH use.

Probably a bit rusty and generally pretty tight.

Wonder if i need to loosen the bottom ball joint nut. Guess ill let the PB soak a few days and see if it moves. Still waiting on parts. found the camber/caster bushing (1987 ranger 4X4 2.9l) Napa NCP-2643952 =- 0 to 3 1/4 degrees. Says caster can be set a true 0 degrees? If I take out 2 washers i think i can get enough camber back. Dirty

You shouldn't need to touch the lower one, just make sure the pinch bolt is loose. Cyclo Breakaway is better penetrating oil, PB works OK to kill hornets.

To rotate the bushing in your pic, they have to be pulled at least part way out. Theres a key that indexes them that fits into the little notches, you've gotta pull em out far enough that key clears before you will be able to turn it. Either way, they look like they're pretty close to 0 degrees, so rotating them wont get you much, if any, adjustment. Youll want to buy some 2 piece adjustable bushings similar to the ones in the pic above. You've got a d28, pretty sure the one in the pic above is for a d35, but it's the same concept

So in order to rotate or replace the adjustable or non adjustable bushing i first have to move it up or out. It is a D28, OEM for this truck. SO how does one loosen the grip.

19walt93, this set up does not have a pinch bolt.

Well It took a little patience, alot of PBlaster and time but its out. It looks like all I'll get in turning it 90 degrees is maybe a half degree at most. Guess ill wait on parts again.
