I'm planning to do a spindle lift on my 2wd 99 coil ranger and thought i read something about having bad positive camber in the front afterwards. Is this an issue, and are there easy fixes like front control arms with repositionable ball joints?

also, what would be my best option for the rear end to level it out and get more travel? I've rear about Chevy rear leafs and shackle flip kits but don't know where to start.

Regarding the bad positive camber in the front, I believe you are thinking of a coil spring lift. The spindle lift keeps all of that geometry about the same as stock. Of course you'll want to have an alignment done after the spindle lift but it should all align to spec with no problems.

I'm doing a 4" spindle lift soon on my 2003 2wd coil spring Ranger.

As for the rear end, there are a few options:

- Add-a-leaf
- Longer shackles
- Lift blocks
- Explorer springs
- F150 springs or Chevy springs but for those I'm about 70% certain they are longer than the stock ranger springs and the front leaf spring mount will have to be moved.

For my lift I've opted for extended shackles and lift blocks just because I want the ride to be as close to stock as possible and want a little rake to it for when I haul stuff. I've read that AAL, Explorer and F150/Chevy springs can make it ride rougher. But, everyone one's butt is different.

Hopefully others will chime in that have actually done a spindle lift before.

I installed the 4 inch spindles and they corrected the majority of negative camber I had before. I think it depends on how your truck sits prior to install. My sport sat 4 inches lower then the rear in the front and 6 inches higher after install. Def would have an alignment done, caster can be an issue.
