Whats this I hear about California banning Dark colored cars and trucks because the paint absorbs more heat from the sun, so the airconditioner has to work harder, thus making the car or truck less feul efficiant. I would think it has more to do with window surface area than your darker color paint. Just seems stupid to me, but hey Im not from California so I guess It does not matter to me lol.

O I totally believe it, (sarcasm)

So when is California going to require your vehicles to be wind tunnel tested?

Driving fast increases your wind resistance, and decreases your efficiency... or make all the highways in california like the 405....:icon_rofl:

Perhaps they should paint the roads white. It would keep them cooler therebye keeping the car tyres cooler, the rubber harder and thereby reducing rolling resistance. Actually steel wheels would have less rolling resistance. I'll shutup now.

How about the rest of us ban California because it is the root of all evil.

The worst part about California is all of these stupid rumors that get started about it

Heh. True.

I don't know what to say man - honestly around here California is kind of a joke...I guess it's just the midwest attitude or something. We even had a bill brought up to vote on a couple years ago...the proponents of it had put up bill boards that said "It worked in California, why not here?" It failed miserably and that little piece there was the biggest reason why. Everyone had a good laugh about it.

the worst part of cali, is so-cal. Sorry I know there are alot of cool people like canyoncritter. but there are alot more lebi dumbasses.

On the flipside my black truck melts ice and snow off of itself in the winter without me warming it up if I let it sit in the sun for awhile.

haha dude... its california. the temp only differs like 10 degrees the whole year.

i think the governator should push every car with his bare hands to save gas. :D

Never been there, but I thought at least some parts would get some winterish weather.
