Anything is possible with enough time, motivation and money.

No idea if it can be made to work with your stock T case.

However unless you have a body lift i believe you have to do some pretty serious surgery to the trans tunnel to get it to fit.

Any reason youre wanting a C6? They eat alot of power right off the top and are total overkill for a 302 in a light ranger.

The c6 cause I already have one. Plus I don’t want that c5. I’m not to worried about the power cause it will be a daily.

The C6 was a great transmission, I did all the automatic transmission at our dealer for several years and never had to take a C6 apart. But, they're bigger, heavier, and use more power than a C4/C5 would. If the 84 4x4 is an F series a C6 isn't a hard swap, if it's a Ranger it would be a different story. I would sell the small block C6, it should be easy to sell, and get a C4 from a company like Performance Automatic.
I can respect wanting to use what you have, that's why my Ranger has a 351 from a 95 F150, a C4 from an 81 Cougar, and an 8 inch rear from a 74 Mustang II, but a C6 into a Ranger wouldn't be as straightforward.

It’s a ranger. I probably will just sell it. I’m keeping the c5 for a while. Just wanted to know if it was doable so I could start getting the parts I needed

It is doable, C6's are just big. The transfer case is the bigger problem, IE finding one that fits between your frame rails. Some of the full size truck transfer cases will not fit. 205, 203, I think the 4406 will fit.

My buddy put a C6 in his early Bronco because he kept blowing up C4's. It fit in that with a Dana 20 transfer case behind it - an adapter was needed for that.
