bw1354 electric low range problem

I know the motor on my t case is getting old. Had to hit it with a hammer a few times to get it to engage today but I've never been able to get my t case into low gear. Will replacing the motor get it to go into low gear? ...replacing it would be a good idea anyway.

If that was the problem, then yes. There are other things that would cause it not to go into low gear.

I may have to go get a junkyard shift motor to embark on that adventure. Not trusting myself with mine cuz it still goes into 4 high.

I replaced the shift motor. It goes right into 4high now but still nothing for 4low. Idk what to do

You need to be in neutral (park will not work) with your foot on the brake.


The module gets its neutral signal from the switch on the trans. Red w/ white stripe wire should have ground when the trans is in neutral. I forget the color of the brake wire.

It caught instantly. I am a dumbass. Neutral to take it back out I assume.
