What MAKG is trying to say is with a FM146 that aint gonna happen, try to find a M50D instead to rebuild.....

Most likely your input shaft bearing....

Most likely starting with the input bearing. It's not very likely to be the only problem....

My mistake,

It is possible that it may be your input shaft bearing, but there are also many other possibilties to consider when a tranny makes said noise. An input bearing failure is a very common cause of the noise you are hearing. I you let out the clutch while stationary in neutral while the engine is running, can you hear it? Does it seem to get louder/progress with the engine rpm?

yes to both. does anyone know where i can find a m50d-r1??? all the junkyards around me dont have any.:dntknw:
