[Drift Ranger 93’]

I have a stock 1993 Ranger,
2.3l iL-4, 4speed w/Od
Single cab, short bed.
Has anyone else built a drift ranger? I’m gathering info and trying to make a parts list but struggling to find solid information on what works and dose not for the driving style I’m trying to achieve with this build. A v8 swap would be amazing but not sure if it would be suited for drifting... appreciate any useful info you all have thanks.

I know there have been some thoughts tossed around here and there... but I don't remember anything completed.

There is one member doing a 3.0L SHO swapped drifter that is going all out. Maybe his build thread will help you with some ideas.

Theres tons of parts for that generation of 2.3. With some weight reduction you would probably get along well enough with a 4 banger.

A good start would be to get it to rev pretty well beyond what it does from the factory with some cams.. mabey shave the head a touch, slap the lowest gears you can in the rear end attached to a spool, slam the thing, fat rear swaybar, install traction/antiwrap bars.. outboard the rear shocks.. see how she goes
