Bug body + Bronco II frame

I got to thinking later it would be kind of funny to put the BII body on the Bug running gear when you get done, it would sure be something different :icon_thumby:

Hahaha, now that would be funny.... I think we have a buyer for the body though... oh well.

We picked this up today for $400

Yeah, we had the bug sitting next to the chassis, and just buy putting it on the frame, it will be getting more than a foot of lift... With the 33's on it, it should be about as tall as I am, and I'm 6'4". People will think something is odd because of how tall it is, then will start to see what it really is.

My friend owns a BroncoBug, He has Custom fiberglass fenders to cover the tires (32x12.5 firstones).

Sweet, that looks pretty cool. We'll be cutting the frame and using a rear mounted radiator so it'll be different. Its cool to see another tho.

Got the body sittin' on the frame, a little crooked tho because of the rear shock mount. heres some pictures....oh yeah, i decided to just fab up a custom floor instead of trying to incorporate the VW one. these are as of 45 mins ago...we are gonna move if forward a bit more too.

We got the rear frame trimmed, and got rid of the rear crossmember/tank mount. We replaced it with a 3x3 tube about a foot forward. Then we got the Baja style bumper mounted We also cut the front frame about 15 in and capped it off. There's pics....later.

whats the specs on the sandrail in the background? those things are a blast to take out into the woods.

Do you mean the go-cart? I dunno really. It has a tecumseh on it now. We're adding 3-wheeler front shocks to the rear and probably a dirtbike engine since we destroyed the torque converter from jumping it.

Here's some pics from last night...
