Hello ... I have rebuilt my 2.8L and opted for a high volume oil pump. After doing some research I found that when using a HV pump it was suggested because of the extra loading on the distributor shaft to replace the steel distributor drive gear with a bronze gear.
I have been looking around and have not been able to find anything expressly for the 2.8 distributor.
Anyone have suggestions or insights?
