Take your time and practice. Stick is one of those pain in the ass arts to master. And just once you're gettin good motion and flow your stick gets too damn short and ya gotta start all over.

Do you kanuks got Harbor Freights up there? Pick up a cheap-O 110v mig with some good amps (140-190)

Much easier, hard to fawk up (unless you really suck) and you can always grind the edges and pool that shit up.

But like I said, stick welding's a good art. Especially if you gotta weld shit back up with batteries and jumper cables on the trail.

well my pop got a mig and hes a good welder and im going up there tonight so i guess ill see if he will show me some tonight.
ive always wanted to weld, if i learn anyy good im gonna get myself some metal and make my own bumper . yay

I seem to remember new sticks being rather difficult at first. Just make sure if it gets stuck to try to unclamp it, otherwise you might weld the stick to the clamp in your hand. I welded a couple of those shut, had to get them apart or else my teacher was gonna make me pay for it.

He still hasn't figured out who it was that welded a hand sporting a middle finger design on his table.

That guy was an ass.

damn boggin, too bad you couldnt hang around longer last week, I could have taught you to weld. As for my recomendation on what to do with this beast, CHANGE ALL FLUIDS RIGHT NOW, fix anything thats broken (oil seal), I got some 78-79 parts here just let me know what you need, get it to good mechanical working order before any mods, sand, prime and paint any rusty spots so it will last, I would remove the carpet completely I bet there is alot of water and road salt under their, and when it is a reliable truck, lift it, clean/dress up the engine bay, what ever you want to do with it but dont buy a lift and tires if you need a oil seal, dont buy valve covers if it has a bad door pin, or I will find you and hurt you LOL I love these trucks and you take lots of pics so ill follow closely

yea hopefulyl sometime ill be around longer, and i got the hole patched but i used different material and i screwed it in with self tappers, i also cleaned the intereior
and yea im gonna fix everything that needs to be fixed before i mod it

awesome.. i just did a mod that was actually needed and it actually works
and the bushings are bad on the body mounts, so i might get like a 2" body lift, maybe 1"

usually a body lift is installed on top of the factory mount so you would still need mounts, I can make some mounts for you from teflon with a lift added in when I make mounts for my truck

yea well one of my buddies is in alberta and when he comes home we'll be fixing her up a bit, she only hasfront brakes so we will fix the rear, do body work, and he can paint so get her painted and shit that needs to be done, then when im 16 hopefully get her on the road, and hes a nice guy and good to get along with so he shouldnt mind it

Got access to a couple saddle blankets? You could tuck them around the seat and it will hide the tears, then if you and a girl are out and you need them.. they come right off. It would be alot less obvious than a blanket just sitting in your truck, my excuse is I use mine to cover my fishin gear so that no one steals it.

I suggested saddle blankets because it will look close to whats already on there, you could always just buy a seat cover or cover it in a regular blanket or cloth or something.
