Bronco ii storage

The 10% going bad shouldn't corrupt the entire batch of gas. However it may run funny till you fill it up again.

naford...good tip on turning on the AC once a week (if it has it),that should be done on all vehicles. Also putting more air in the tires to prevent flat spots.

Sorry haven't posted back in this thread for awhile, and I've got it out a couple times, and every time I start it up it has a loud tick, more then the normal lifter tick I usually get, it does it for about 30 seconds and goes back to normal. Should I be worried about this or should I just change the oil and plugs and wires since they need to be done?

Sounds like a normal 2.9. Mine ticks for a few seconds and stops. There have been oodles of threads referencing this in the 2.9 forum. I wouldn't worry about it.

I'd make sure the anti-freeze is good to at least -50...put some moth balls in a box in the truck to deter mice from having sex in your G-Love box...the oil should be as thin as you can run in it (eg 5W30)...and check that the windshield washer is also good for -50...

Other than that...is it parked outside or inside? Outside...heed the southern facing windshield where it will get sunshine...check it when you start it up for leaks...and tarp it if there are any leaks...water soaks in, freezes, and the next thing you know you have a freaking hockey team practicing inside your truck...

Okay. As soon as income taxes come in, the Bronco will be back on the road again on the weekends, because I just need to get some money together to get all the maintenance done to it before I turn it back into my back up vehicle and wheeler

Just start it and do a complete warm up regularly and keep the gas tank topped off. The rise and fall of the barometer is what causes water to intrude the fuel tank through the vent.

-35 is good enough down here for the coolant, it rarely gets half that far below 0 overnight.

Washer stuff is hard to find much lower than -20.

Everything up here is -35 to -40...not that it ever dips below -35, but that is a safety factor...

I don't expect a really cold winter...at least not until February...today it was above freezing and raining and that is probably the first time I've seen that in January for a long time...

I guess your politicians blow more hot air than ours...:icon_rofl:
