How do I fix my Spare Tire Carrier??
It is banging around when Im Drivin..

It Latches, but it is very loose..

Look at it to see where its loose at, I think new there was some sort of rubber to take up the gaps, I replaced the spring to take out the slop on the release handle so it would not rattle ( as much) maybe you could take a small hose and split it to take up some slop where the round tube locks in.

Originally there was a piece around the round tube portion of the carrier where it locks into the latch. After some years they crack, break and fall off. Bronco_lou is correct. Just find a piece of rubber hose that fits around that tube, slice it to install it then use electrical tape to wrap it. This should fix it. I know the feeling of hearing that anoying rattle. I have had 4 BII's now and all of them have had this problem. Hope this helps.
