Broken Leaf Spring

dude u r nutz. but hey i drove on a broken middle leaf for a year and it was scary in corners let me tell u.blew both shocks out and bent a hanger. so what has this all taught us ??? some ppl shouldnt work on cars and some r just nutz lol

I'll be replacing the rear leaf springs in my '93 Ranger next week. The passenger side middle leaf was broken and sticking out.

I've been looking for a few days to find a set locally. Finally I scored a set of "X" code springs for $100 at a local wrecking yard today. I consulted a local spring shop and they were $190 per side, new. JC Whitney wanted $120 per side and $190 per side for heavy duty springs.

It will be nice to get the Ranger back on the level again.

yea i got a pair of new leaf springs that have an extra leaf and i while putting them i on i realized that i had to get new front mounts so now i have new mounts in front and rear and new leaf springs with new u bolts its going to ride better then new....only thing is that with the leveling kit in the front the rear end is going to be higher so looks like a lift in the front for me...darn ooo yea and possibly 31s
