Broke into the 13's on Saturday with my Ranger

ever make it to Cordova Dragway Park in Cordova IL???

I was there years ago with my civic.

I went to Byron with the Truck.

This has just given me motivation to do a 5.0 swap....in the very far future

Its FAR more affordable than you may think...

*edit*

You have an edge, you have no excuse, its just a bolt-in swap!!!

My Shipment of PAH has arrived

IS THAT AN 1/8TH MILE ? Just kidding-GOOD JOB AND VERY NICE TRUCK! Next I want to see some timeslips with 12.998 and .400 reaction! How is it hookin' up and what are you running in front tires for psi?

.400 is a TERRIBLE reaction time! lol, i have a trophy somewhere for a .500 reaction time (old method, where .499 was a redlight) .000 on the new lights... this was running a .5 sportsman tree

another time for ya would be my 89 5L LX hatchback, with 2.73 gears, 14.78 @ 89.8 mph, and 200,000+km on the clock (manual trans)

Dan, About them rockers, really never heard a good thing about them other than the price. Them may look good but of poor material (at times). Can't see a good view of the tips but if you are using the Explorer valve covers, you might have problems in the corners and with the baffle. Good thread of another that had the problems with the high profile rockers. Just my normal heads up

Wow, now that you point that out Dave; those bolts use a regular head. The rockers seem a lot wider than my Crane Cams 1.7's. Mine use a regular 1/4" allen wrench. Might just be my phone making them look different.

They use Allen wrenches, that is just the shoulder you are seeing.

Glad you pointed that out Dave!!! Thanks to the blower I can just buy taller valve covers since I won't have any upper intake manifold clearance issues.

Anyone have any links to a reasonably priced set?

What kind of things have you heard about them? For the numbers I'm aiming to make I didn't think I'd have any issues with the build quality?

As to the quality, I just did a Google on those rockers and saw a lot of bad comments even for a DD.
Valve covers, don't know how cheap but I'm a sucker for them black Cobra ones!

just tear the baffles out of your stock covers... not that difficult...

To be honest, I just looked for reviews, and all these 'bad' comments I'm seeing are from 2004-2007.... LOTS of good reviews 09, 10...... They are NOT cheap normally ($200+) I got this set as an Amazon re-stock for under $100 (Still brand new, sealed)

I think I might just look at swapping in a blown 4.0 so I can use my trans

Your stock V-6 trans will not hold boost for long... If you want to go fast, you need to start with a strong starting point across the board. I don't mean to be an ass, but my 4R70W is holding strong, and is bone stock... Every day I expect it to grenade, or start to slip and it just keeps on plugging along despite me beating the snot out of my truck and putting boost through it....

Baffles won't fix where the front rockers hit Per the article Dave posted. anyone know what the stock height is?

i thought the mustang 5L was 1.6... i was looking into 1.7's and was told the baffles would have to come out... unless you're running an expo motor... in which case maybe grab the mustang covers?
