Can anyone tell me if there is chassis wiring beneath the trim piece that connects the floor carpet to the rocker panel ? The screws holding it down have all rusted out. Wondering if I can drill the old screws out and just replace them. Thanks for any ideas.

I'm not sure for ypur year model. But, obviously, there is clearance for the screws. So there is clearance to drill the screws. Just don't go too gar away from the screw towards the interior of the truck. I'm thi king ypu have at least 1/2" of clearance there. Bit don't quote me on that. All you need to do is drill/grind the head off anyway. Then you can pull the trim off and get a vice grip on the remainder of the screw.
