1985 ranger with stock tfi, noticed the truck bogs really bad when WOT, but not when throttle is applied slowly. What should i look into?

Accelerator pump. Years ago I had a 2.8 that would fall on its face when you gave it some gas so I bent the rod to the accelerator pump and it solved the problem.

Some of those older carbs had leather accelerator pump cups. They dry out if the truck sits.

how exactly? I notice mine is leaking gas on the manifold, do i just need a whole new one or a whole new carb?

From what ive read i think i have 2150A

Near the passenger side fender theres a harness with nothing plugged in, i think its the map sensor thats missing, anything worth doing there?

While I own a 2.8, its in a 77 pinto and not nearly as much vacuum tubing and emissions stuff to deal with. I can't help much with yours, I don't know the system well.

That’s the accelerator pump, if it’s leaking get new gaskets / seals and replace them.

This is what gets replaced with the accelerator pump, just the diaphragm:

That vacuum port should be capped.

Do you have an aftermarket air filter housing? There would have originally been an orange hard plastic vacuum line to control the fresh air intake vacuum motor. You’ll want that capped off if it isn’t in place. Is the breather hose not connected and pulling unfiltered air into the crankcase?

And which vaacuum port needs to be capped? The one above the accell pump? If so if im not mistaken i already capped it, it goes to the charcoal canister if im not mistaken.

Do i also cap off green wire? I think its egr vacuum

Then why is there a giant nut on the air cleaner stud?
I bought a new pcv valve when i was a teenager and it was a 2 way, needed a 1 way so i blocked off the open end.
