Was that one of the major problems? - if that's so - I'll get a battery and some starting fluid and go see if any will run
are transmissions more common of a problem on these trucks?

I have a 2.9 out of a 1990 Ranger. I got it with a trans I needed. The man I got it from told me it had 90,000 on it. The one exhaust manifold got broken when they took it out and I took the valve covers, dist. and manifold off it. I was going to use them but they're sitting in my garage.

If you want it, you can have it. Maybe between yours and this one, you can make yourself a decent motor. I live in Harrisburg ,PA.

I Just may be in need of a 2.9. Is the motor you have a good running one - the few things you mentioned? I live in Ohio.
