blackfoots makeover!

It has a sick side profile, but I think it looks a little awkward from the front. It's still beast though, nice job.

you should also look into some james duff arms. they are similar to the cage arms but cheaper. i think how your current arms are setup they would get hit and possibly bent being so low.

i think wild horses has some nice ones also.

X-Lynx

the latest and final set up, 3 link with trac bar....still got some cleaning up to do on it...n a few minor alterations, but for most part its done. flexes alright, on 20 degree ramp got a 779 rti score? i think i coulda gone higher but the rear is pretty limited. next addition is revolver shackles for rear. give me input!

What'd you use for your link tubing? It looks tragically undersized.
well i put my freshly learned fab n repair class to use! its 1/2" wall cold rolled steel...outside diameter is 1.5". it is somewhat skinny if your lookin at outside diameter, but the fact its cold rolled and as thick as it is makes up the difference. i drilled out the ends to 3/4 to match my chromoly 3/4 by 3/4 heim joints...so, the tensile strength of the tubing mated with the 31K tensile heims is plenty strong

if not il find out the hard way...but im confident...no bungs either, threaded the tube

if ya dont mind me asking, what did you use for that tracbar bracket? Looks like an easy bolt on piece.

yea, its a 4 bolt bracket i made...kinda hack job, im gonna redo it so it looks better. i was trying to keep it directly in line with the pittman arm so i dont hav my wheels turning when it articulates...kinda get what im tryin to say?

ive got all my parts designed n fitted, but i have a lot of room for improvement....if i got a perfect design down for a high pinion d44 link conversion, would anybody be interested in buying the design, parts built, everything done/?

gotta love grade 5 hardware and none DOM tubbing!

Not even DOM, jsut cold rolled steel lol.

Rebel, you might want to look into some cromoly bungs down teh road as the heims can pull the threads out of that tubing due to it bein a soft metal. I really recommend ya put some grade 8 bolts it there. Those grade 5s will fatigue and shear over a short amount of time
