That looks sick bro. Did you make that intake plenum yourself? How much boost are you running?

I really wish I could turbo my truck but it's not a financial priority at the moment. The 4.0 will be good enough.

How does the 2.3 turbo do in an off-road rig? I'm about to try it out.

Look what I just got.

1992 Exploder Sport with 99k. I'm going to swap everything from my Ranger over to it.

JUST KIDDING!

The Danger Ranger is getting the 4.0. That's right. 225 ft-lbs of Ford Power.

Also swapping the dash, the seats and the A/C. Finally I won't be sweating like crazy while wheeling.

Isn't it glorious!? Only 99k miles and runs like new. Can't wait to have this in my truck.

Dang, a lot of us wish our main vehicles were that clean. :icon_surprised:

And then you darn southerners kill them. :icon_twisted:

Haha sorry bro. These explorer's are a dime a dozen here. If anything, I saved this one from going to the scrap yard.

The body is in nice shape and I considered building it instead of using it as a donor but my truck desperately needs more power and finding low mileage 4.0's is starting to get difficult.

I bought it off a member of turborangerforums.com. Hoping to be pushing around 15psi... for now.. I wasn't able to get it to a point where I would have felt comfortable driving it 3+ hrs back to school, durning winter break. So I'm driving my beater civic for now :icon_rofl: Hopefully I'll have it done over spring break which is in a few weeks.

15psi sounds like a good amount. :3gears:

That's the way to do it man; have a daily driver that gets good mileage and is reliable and then have your Ranger which will be prone to breaking down all the time, like mine. :icon_rofl:

I can't wait to see it finished.

Hey, I also want those 2.3 Ranger 4x4 motor mounts if you need someone to take them off your hands!!! :D Cant wait to see your progress on this man!

Do you need the brackets too or just the mounts? Aren't the 4x2 ones the same? I'm not sure. Never had a 2 wheel drive.:dunno:

The brackets... that's what I meant haha. Pretty sure the mounts are the same, or replaceable. The brackets that mount to the crossmember are the hard ones to find :icon_thumby:

Well, I already told turbo91xlt that he could have them so if he doesn't end up wanting them, you can have them. :icon_thumby:

Aren't you doing a solid axle swap anyway? And, do you have a 2.3 4x4 transmission?

Yeah I'm still interested in them. Just let me know when you get around to pulling them :icon_cheers:

10-4.

It'll probably be in the next month or so; I'm really busy at the moment.

I did just order a ton of stuff though. New clutch and gasket kit for the 4.0, new radiator hoses, spark plugs, wires, etc.

I also ordered some 4" lift parts and will be making some extended radius arms. Stay tuned. :icon_welder:
