So I ordered a set from discount tire.com. They said they don;t have any and BFG doesnt have any. Would be at least 2 month wait.

Stopped at local tire place on my way to work. He said maybe they arent making them anymore.

What are your suggestions for an alternate tire.
AT or MT, nothing too expensive.

ADD:
I just emailed BFG to ask about why nobody has tires to sell me.

Arent making them anymore? i dont know about that. it would be a pretty dumb move. General Grabber AT2 tires have the same tread pattern and are cheaper. rated better on tire rack too

Think, it looks like it's gonna be a snowy winter...

They are simply sold out.

B.F.Goodrich tire changed hands three times....
Every buyer wanted one thingout of the aquisition...
Their light truck tire lineup.

It's like every corporation that buys someone else to get their
paws on the Jeep Marque.

What size were you chasing?

I just found a set on craigslist that I am getting tomorrow. 30x9.5 4 for $300. 95%tread too. Will they fit on my stock 91 ranger 4.0 4x4? I hope. I have 235 75 on now. Costco still sells them here in Az anyway.

^^^ they will fit fine

but tirerack only has back order on 33s and 35s

Pure speculation and a lame response by your local shop.

Hell, Wally world (wal-mart) sells them all day too. BFG a/t way too popular to stop making. Just go get them!

Not many places carry 33's so it's not like i can walk in and walk out with a set of 33" tires.
There's a 4x4 shop not that far from me with HUGE trucks on the lot. I'll see what they got.

I need them before the snow comes and definitely before the baby comes (due in Feb).

could you see my wife climbing into the truck so I can drive her to the hospital in a snow storm?

If BFG stopped making the AT that would be like if GM stopped making Chevy. Its about 90% of their brand sales.

I know costco probably has plenty, for a great price

tire rack is out of stock of 33s and 35s if people would read you would know that

I was not incredibly impressed with the set of BFG AT's that I had for a while. I think they're a little overrated. You can get other all terrain type tires that perform as well or better. My old Cavalier all terrains did a better job in the snow and ice than my BFG's and they were 4" smaller!

For that matter, what's the point of getting all terrains in anything bigger than say, 31's? If you're in the market for larger tires, there is a good chance that tire life is not concern #1, so get mud tires. Not so great on ice? Sipe them. Problem mostly solved and you have a more versatile tire.
