^^Holy shit is that you voting against chevy, are you feeling ok?^^

I am not that closed minded. If I didn't like my Fords I would have crushed my Ranger years ago.

Downright pulling is a matter of weight, weight balance, traction and power. Add more weight, better tires and keep enough power to go and there is no reason that the Ranger couldn't outdo the other as long as it can take the added weight.

Being lighter has its perks, because you can put the weight where you need it. I used this to my advantage when I tractor pulled. My 45hp 4000lb tractor ran against either 25hp H's or B's that weighed about the same or stripped down A's and M's that had similar at best power. In the 4500lb class I had an extra 500lbs to play with while they were watching what they ate the night before. They had to deal with severe weight balance issues (A's are really tail heavy, M's are nose heavy) In the 5000 they started coming alive and I started running out of tire (darn 28" tires A-C cursed me with :annoyed:)

there are bicycles i'd trade a 2wd 4cylinder ranger for

it could be a 1ton but it could also be a 3/4 ton, they have single rear wheel one tons thats what my chevy is just a little older.

I was judging by ride height and suspension movement. A one-ton would sit slightly higher and no bounce so much while unloaded.

Tractorman

288 feet with a 24 k sled in the under 5250 class was my best pull.

that started allot of fights with some particular chevy guys back then, and that is back when my truck was still actually a ranger with a smallblock in it.

i cant really bash chevies out of context:dunno:....situationally theres times i would rather have a gm.....but mostly i would rather have a ford truck.

Out drag me Please,

I pulled an early 90's Chevy out of a ditch/snowbank with my Zx2. lol.

That rear tow hook was pretty handy on that..

hmm, i've out-mudded plenty of chevys very similar to that. i'd put down $50 on a friendly bet at a local mud hole.

true...we hooked my ranger to one of our work trucks in the dirt, the truck is an 03 2500 with a 6.0 2wd but it has a utility bed and about 2k pounds worth of shit...weighs in at 7500-8k lb now my ranger probably weighs 4500 but im 4wd

guess who pulled who....i pulled him about 6 inches but because he has all that weight we both just started digging holes and neither moved another inch

on concrete he probably would have drug me backwards because of the weight he has over the back tires

What a tool. Wouldn't take much to out drag that boat anchor pile of sh!t chevy.

I'm up for it. :thefinger: OP
